There is philosophy beyond the university, beyond the more academic and school spaces, and that we need to be connected with popular philosophy, following it closely, thinking and reorganizing with it.
If, from a more open perspective, philosophy appears as a set of gestures and questions that become possible based on historically organized agendas, precisely from the university and other academic spaces, philosophy for us also refers to a particular way of paying attention, especially to what is less visible, and which is decisive in terms of the possibility of reorganizing reality. A care for what constitutes reality mobilizes towards visibility and, when it appears, surprises and demands unusual responses, the very reorganization of our theoretical and practical behaviors.
The Brazilian popular philosophy is not only Brazilian but also Brazilian. And this Brazilian refers to certain efforts to understand and relate to complex realities that are reorganized, and differentiated, never in a linear way, but rather from a greater or lesser distance and intimacy between temporal strata based on which Brazilian popular philosophies originated and continue to renew themselves. Philosophies that harbor so many futures!
